The Baltimore-Timonium area has been our home for 40 years. Grand York Interiors was founded in 1983 by Pat and Mick Kunkowski, a wife-and-husband duo with a vision for an interiors showroom that featured not just a vast selection of materials and styles, but also genuine hospitality and extensive professional expertise. Now under new ownership, the recently rebranded Grand York features a newly reimagined, modern showroom and a refreshed vision for collaboration within the local design community. While our showroom may look different, the Kunkowski’s legacy lives on at Grand York by way of a talented design and installation team dedicated to the same unparalleled, personalized service clients have come to expect. Grand York continues to be a place where everyone — from design professionals to home improvement novices — can come to find the inspiration and knowledge they seek to bring a custom renovation to life.

Our Process

  • 1. Showroom Visit & Discovery

    First things first: come see us! We ask that you schedule an appointment to meet with a member of our design team. To ensure that we are making the most of our time with you, please bring images of the space you’re looking to refresh, approximate dimensions, relevant swatches and any design inspiration pulled from books, magazines or the online source of your choice. We’ll work together to define your goals, consult on your overall vision and curate products and materials for your consideration.

  • 2. Samples & Selection

    We suggest that you take home an assortment of samples to view in your space along with your existing furnishings and the natural light of the room. “Living” with the materials for a few days will prove tremendously helpful in making your final selections!

  • 3. Check Measure

    Next, our team will schedule an on-site check measure and take precise measurements of your space. This step ensures that your custom products are made exactly to your specifications and that the installation process which follows is smooth and seamless.

  • 4. Proposal

    After we receive the final measurements, our team will create a personalized quote which will include details on materials, products and installation. We ask for your patience during this process as we customize your unique proposal. Our team stands ready to implement any necessary changes until you’re 100% pleased with your design concept.

  • 5. Payment & Procurement

    With payment complete, we will process your order and set a general timeline for installation. Rest assured that your materials are in excellent care with trusted vendors, suppliers and workrooms, many with whom we’ve collaborated with for decades.

  • 6. Installation

    Once your order arrives at the Grand York showroom, we’ll reach out to arrange an installation date that works best for you. On install day our team arrives with everything needed to complete your renovation project. If you can open the front door, we can take it from there!

  • 7. Project Complete!

    It’s now time to take a step back and enjoy the finished result! Our hope is that your refreshed space brings you a renewed sense of joy and inspiration. We can’t wait to work together again.
